Anti-gravity yoga

This afternoon I grew "angel wings" to defy gravity and yoga like I've never yoga'd before. Using a stretchy smooth fabric, we did poses like "one winged dove", "dancer", "toy soldier" amongst the more familiar poses like "warrior". From balance to swinging to hanging upside down hands-free, I worked my whole body. During the last series of poses, we lie suspended upside down and hands-free, doing a "monkey hook" with our ankles. Blood rushed to my head and as I looked around the room it looked like something out of a Cirque Du Soliel performance. At the end of class, the last pose was "cocoon", where we envelope our entire body stretched completely out inside the fabric and just lie and swing there, weightless. Namaste, baby.
